Polish artist and illustrator Paweł Kuczyński is famous for his political and satirical take on world events filled with thought provoking messages ( in some of them )as his works  specialize in satirical illustration. Was Born in 1976 in Szczecin, Poland, he graduated with a graphics degree from the Fine Arts Academy in Poznan. Pawel has been focusing on satire since 2004 and has garnered nearly a hundred prizes and distinctions since then.Let’s take a look on some of them.

Much of his artwork deals with serious themes such as poverty, greed, politics and mortality. While his subject matter is stark, his illustrative style is whimsical and cartoonish. Palestine sous les Yeux de Banksy// Palestine through the Eyes of Banksy (En/Fr post)


Banksy is an anonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director of unverified identity. Banksy is the pseudonym of a “guerrilla” street artist known for his controversial, and often politically themed, stenciled pieces.Their satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique.

Banksy’s works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.Banksy’s work grew out of the Bristol underground scene, which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. Banksy says that they were inspired by 3D, a graffiti artist who later became a founding member of the English musical group Massive Attack.

Most of his fans didn’t really want to know who he is for years.His work not only includes many powerful, often controversial images, but they may also be found throughout the Internet as viral images. In 2015, he decided to travel to Palestine and the West Bank, where he stenciled nine images on the Bethlehem Wall. These images were an instant hit and virally exploded in the Internet.

Back in 2015, the mysterious British street artist published a video on his official website in which he unveils his new works in Gaza city and raised awareness of the living conditions of its inhabitants.

In the darkness of the night, a graffiti artist managed to make Israel’s separation barrier in the West Bank town of Bethlehem — already considered the world’s most contentious wall — more controversial with a mural of President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharing a kiss.

Hommage à Leïla Alaoui dont la mort a tellement bouleversé le monde de la photographie et de l’art: “Les Marocains”


Le 18 janvier dernier, Leila Alaoui tombait sous les balles des terroristes lors des attentats au Burkina Faso. La jeune femme se trouvait à Ouagadougou dans le cadre d’un reportage pour Amnesty International. Une fresque à son effigie s’étire désormais sur les murs de la capitale burkinabée. Artiste franco-marocaine, Leila Alaoui portait un intérêt tout particulier aux identités culturelles et à la migration.

L’émergence posthume de son travail, questionne dans le flot des représentations et de la propagation de l’évènement médiatique, la place du regard sur nos émotions individuelles et collectives face au terrorisme.
